MMPRC strengthens Maldives presence in India at the SATTE 2023 event.

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) participated in SATTE 2023, the leading business-to-business exhibition for travel and tourism professionals in South Asia. During the event, held from February 9-11, MMPRC promoted the Maldives as an attractive short-haul holiday destination for Indian travelers, highlighting its unparalleled beauty and diversity. The event took place at India Expo Mart in New Delhi, India.

SATTE 2023 provided a valuable opportunity for the South Asian travel industry, including key figures and professionals, to connect, network, and showcase their products and services. With a growing number of exhibitors and visitors each year, both domestically and internationally, SATTE has become the premier networking forum in the travel and tourism industry of South Asia. The Maldives was represented by 81 representatives from 48 different companies, including MMPRC, with the goal of maintaining the destination’s presence in the Indian and South Asian market and sharing the latest updates, products, and experiences. On the second day of the event, a destination presentation was given at the main SATTE presentation area.

At the Maldives stand, visitors had the chance to attend meetings with key travel trade professionals and industry partners, participate in influencer experiences, and attend destination presentations. The latter focused on the MICE concept for business travelers in the Maldives. Additionally, a exciting raffle draw was held during the event, with the chance to win a free holiday in the Maldives, sponsored by Adaaran Club Rannalhi and Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives.

The Maldives Destination and MMPRC were also nominated for two prestigious categories of the SATTE Awards, including “Sustainable International Destination of the Year” for the Maldives and “Best International Tourism Board” for MMPRC.
