Angsana Velavaru is pleased to announce the appointment of Artemasius Harefa, fondly known as Arthe, as its new Wellbeing Director. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and wellbeing industry, Arthe brings a distinguished career that spans Asia and the Middle East, including leadership roles at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, Angsana Saranam, Banyan Tree Al Areen and most recently, Banyan Tree Ula.

Since beginning his career in the spa industry in 2002, Arthe has develop a holistic approach to wellbeing that extends beyond physical health. As a sports enthusiast, he recognised early on that true wellbeing is not only about fitness or activity, but about cultivating a deeper sense of balance, happiness and fulfillment. This philosophy has shaped his career to guide his work as he joins Angsana Velavaru.

In his new role, Arthe will oversee the resort’s wellness strategy and Spa & Gallery operations, ensuring that every aspect of the guest journey reflects Angsana’s ethos of rejuvenation, connection, and mindful living. He envisions expanding the resort’s offerings with activities and experiences that go beyond the spa —from stress-free arrivals and healthy dining options, to in-room wellness amenities and thoughtfully designed programmes that encourage guests to embrace wellness as part of daily life.
