Reethi Rah Resort Pvt. Ltd., the owner of the One&Only Reethi Rah business, has announced the appointment of Rasa Sangheran as their new Asset Manager. In this role, Sangheran will report directly to Imran Ali (Issa), Managing Director of Reethi Rah Resort Pvt. Ltd.

Sangheran’s responsibilities will encompass the development of business strategies in collaboration with both the Kerzner global team and the One&Only Reethi Rah executive team. His focus will be to provide equal importance to key pillars such as Brand, Guest, Product, Place, Colleagues, and Growth, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the resort’s business value. Additionally, Sangheran will apply asset management principles to oversee the repositioning of the resort.

With a Bachelor of Science degree, Sangheran is a member of prestigious accounting and management bodies, including CIMA and ACCA. His career began in 2001 with the Kerzner family at One&Only Kanuhura in the Maldives. Over the years, he has held various roles, including providing operational finance support in the UK and Fort Lauderdale, assisting in the openings of One&Only Cape Town and One&Only The Palm in Dubai, and performing functions at resorts in Mauritius, Mexico, and the Bahamas. In 2013, Sangheran returned to the Maldives to lead the finance team and later manage the resort’s financial assets. His contributions have been instrumental to the success of One&Only Reethi Rah over the past decade.

Beyond his financial expertise, Sangheran has broadened his knowledge in areas such as design, project management, and food and beverage, showcasing a genuine passion for hospitality. His dedication to developing local talent and initiating corporate social responsibility projects earned him the ‘Travel Personality of the Year 2017’ award from the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MOTATO).

Sangheran’s extensive experience and passion for the One&Only brand are expected to drive continued success for Reethi Rah Resort Pvt. Ltd., further solidifying its reputation for excellence in the Maldivian hospitality industry.
