Since joining the resort in January 2024 as Human Resources Manager, Shufana has played a meaningful role in shaping the colleague experience at InterContinental Maldives through her people- focused leadership, dedication to colleague wellbeing, and commitment to operational excellence. Her promotion reflects both her professional achievements and the positive impact she has made across the resort community.

With a strong background in hospitality human resources and talent development, Shufana brings over six years of experience within luxury hospitality in the Maldives. Prior to joining InterContinental Maldives, she held several progressive Human Resources positions at Pullman Maldives Maamutaa under AccorHotels, where she contributed extensively to recruitment, employee engagement, onboarding, and talent development initiatives. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated a passion for nurturing talent and creating supportive workplace environments that empower colleagues to grow and succeed.

Over the past year, Shufana has been recognised for her leadership and dedication to fostering a positive workplace culture at InterContinental Maldives. Her contributions have supported the continued enhancement of colleague engagement and Human Resources performance across the resort, while her approachable leadership style and genuine care for people have earned the respect and admiration of both colleagues and leadership alike.
