Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, renowned for its commitment to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship, proudly marks a momentous achievement in marine conservation by celebrating the establishment of the 500thcoral frame in collaboration withReefscapers, a government-appointed company in marine consultancy for coral restoration.

Since its inception in 2020, the resort has been unwavering in its dedication to marine conservation, with substantial support from Reefscapers, generous guests, and online sponsors. The recent event, held at the resort's Anchorage beach, brought together valued and loyal Marriott Bonvoy members, as well as the distinguished British Photographer of the Year and a passionate Marine Conservationist, Oliver Clarke.

The 500thcoral frame milestone not only signifies a remarkable achievement in coral restoration efforts but also underlines the collective impact of the resort's ongoing commitment to preserving the Maldives' delicate marine ecosystem. These collaborative efforts have led to the successful rescue of 25,000 coral colonies. In addition to the coral frames, Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa takes pride in its contribution to the construction of the largest human-made coral pyramids. These coral structures now serve as a new home for a diverse range of marine species, including blacktip reef sharks, stingrays, and various fish species.
