MMPRC Conducts Campaign With Vogue France To Promote The Maldives

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), also known as Visit Maldives, recently executed a highly successful marketing campaign in collaboration with Vogue France. The objective of this month-long campaign, which began on May 30th, 2023, was to bolster the presence of the Maldives brand in France and attract more visitors from this market.

Vogue France, a prestigious monthly magazine renowned for its fashion news and trends, has a strong foothold in the French market with over 90 years of experience. Its upscale and glamorous reputation aligns perfectly with the image of the Maldives in the eyes of the French audience. Partnering with Vogue provided a valuable opportunity for MMPRC to reach both the affluent niche of French travelers and a wider audience due to the magazine’s significant impact and popularity, with 46% of its readers being highly affluent travelers and a digital audience of 8.9 million unique visitors per month.

The engagement from the community was remarkable, as Vogue is known for delivering high-impact news about the finest products, services, and offers, catering to individuals with diverse lifestyles. This collaboration will undoubtedly reinforce the Maldives’ position as a top-of-the-mind destination for French travelers.

The campaign utilized both print and digital platforms to achieve its goals. The print component showcased a captivating image of the Maldives as a luxurious destination on the front cover of Vogue’s April issue. Simultaneously, the digital component featured mesmerizing pictures of the Maldives on Instagram and Facebook, reaching an impressive audience of 300,000 individuals.

Throughout the campaign, the focus was on promoting luxury products and family-oriented services available in the Maldives. These included the iconic overwater bungalows, private cruises along the beautiful Maldivian waters on a liveaboard, and exclusive experiences such as spending a night in a lavish “all-amenities-included” bubble tent or enjoying a stylish breakfast in private pools on floating trays. Additionally, the campaign highlighted the diverse spa and wellness services offered in the Sunny Side of Life.

France currently stands as the 8th top source market for the Maldives, with 30,770 tourists arriving as of July 3rd, 2023. Given this encouraging figure, MMPRC remains committed to promoting the various products, experiences, and segments of the Maldives in the French market, with the aim of sustaining this momentum and further increasing arrival numbers.
