Ennismore, a renowned global hospitality company, has announced the appointment of Jesper Soerensen as the General Manager of the highly anticipated SO/ Maldives resort, set to open in the fourth quarter of 2023. Jesper will be responsible for overseeing the pre-opening preparations of the resort and driving the overall resort strategy, bringing the brand’s signature experiences of avant-garde design, playful luxury, and fashion to the Maldives.

Jesper has an impressive background in the hospitality industry, having worked with some of the fastest-growing, multi-cultural, and international luxury brands in the world, including urban hotels, beach resorts, and luxury private island resorts. Prior to his appointment at SO/ Maldives, Jesper was the General Manager at The Standard, Maldives, and before that, he worked at Six Senses Singapore. Jesper started his career in food & beverage with Alan Yau at Hakkasan group, and later joined Morgans Hotel Group at the iconic Sanderson and St Martin’s Lane Hotel, London. He later moved to Miami, where he was the General Manager at the Shore Club for many years.

Jesper’s extensive experience in the hospitality industry, coupled with his passion for beach and luxury travel, makes him an excellent choice to lead the SO/ Maldives team.
