Maldives Showcased as a Luxurious Destination at Pure Luxury Spring Edition 2023 in Moscow

On March 16th, 2023, the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) participated in the Pure Luxury Spring Edition event in Moscow, Russia. This exclusive business-to-business (B2B) workshop aims to connect luxury travel suppliers with professionals catering to VIP clients in the Russian travel market. MMPRC's presence at the event was intended to promote the Maldives as the ultimate luxury holiday destination for high-net-worth individuals and luxury travellers in Russia.

The Pure Luxury Spring Edition event has been the ultimate platform for showcasing the best in luxury travel to a highly qualified audience since 2011. This year's event took place at the prestigious 4 Seasons Hotel in Moscow and was attended by buyers from travel companies in Russia who specialise in luxury travel and VIP clientele. MMPRC was represented by its PR agents for the region, Compass Consulting, who showcased the luxurious destination Maldives, our products, and services.

MMPRC's participation in this event is part of our marketing strategy for the Russian market. We aim to strengthen Maldives' brand in the market through ambient outdoor advertisements, social and digital media campaigns, and further marketing of our products and services. Russia was the second largest source market for the Maldives in 2022, with a total arrival figure of 201,954 tourists. In 2023, the market remains the largest source market, with over 28,000 tourists having already arrived.

In 2022, MMPRC conducted 16 high-profile advertising campaigns targeting Russia, and several exciting activities and campaigns for this market are planned for 2023. Through our presence at the Pure Luxury Spring Edition event, we hope to further solidify the Maldives' position as the ultimate luxury holiday destination for Russian travellers, and increase the number of high-end visitors to the Maldives from the region.
