Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa has appointed Mohamed El Aghoury as General Manager.

El Aghoury has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality sector, gained over a wide range of respected companies in various countries. In his new position, Mohamed will be in charge of the award-winning 5-star resort's whole operations.

In addition to managing all elements of the hotel's operations, El Aghoury will be in charge of strategic business initiatives that will help the resort further cement its position as a hub for international exchange. Additionally, he will continuously direct and inspire the team to consistently deliver the highest caliber of service.

El Aghoury, who boasts over 25 years of varied experience, started his career in hospitality in 1993 at the Sheraton Montazah Hotel in Alexandria. In 2011, he got his first job as general manager. Prior to his current job, he held the coveted post of a Cluster General Manager at the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort and Aloft Palm Jumeirah. These well-known UAE brands included Four Points, Al Sondos Suites by Le Meridien, Meydan Hotel, Bab Al Shams Desert Resort, and finally.

El Aghoury has received honors for his leadership over the years, and in the United Arab Emirates, he was named to the esteemed Hotelier MEA's Top 50 General Manager Power List. He was also named General Manager of the Year and the Best General Manager by the Luxury Lifestyle Awards and Hospitality Excellence Awards.
