Launch of workshops for flora and fauna by Nova Maldives
The Maldivian Flora and Fauna workshops will be introduced as part of Nova Maldives’ weekly guest activities on December 4, 2022, in honor of World Wildlife Conservation Day.
Fruit bats, herons, raa bondhi, waterhens, geckos, garden lizards, and flora like the coconut palm, ficus, screw pine, and pinkrose are just a few of the amazing animals and plants that call Nova Maldives home. The purpose of this brand-new visitor activity is to spread knowledge about the underwater plant and animal life that surrounds Nova as well as the extraordinarily vibrant coral reef.
Other sustainability initiatives that Nova participates in include the Nova Coral Frame Sponsorship Program, which allows visitors to plant their own coral in the Nova coral garden. By funding this project, visitors will get online updates that show how their coral frame is growing in real time. The natural treasures that surround Nova can be preserved and conserved by participating in this activity.
