This Chinese New Year, Fushifaru Maldives invites guests to celebrate the Year of the Horse with a festive island escape centred on togetherness, relaxation, and memorable dining experiences.
From 15 to 17 February 2026, the resort will host a special Chinese New Year programme designed to enhance the holiday experience in a relaxed island setting. Guests can enjoy a daily Chinese Tea Corner at Fanihandhi Bar, offering a welcoming space to gather and unwind throughout the festivities, while selected spa treatments will be available with special savings during the celebration period.
The highlight of the programme takes place on Lunar New Year’s Eve with a festive family BBQ dinner at Raakani Restaurant, bringing loved ones together over a generous spread in a warm, celebratory atmosphere. The evening continues with a spectacular fire show, symbolising prosperity, renewal, and a vibrant welcome to the Year of the Horse.
As never-ending feasts are an essential part of Chinese New Year celebrations, Fushifaru Maldives further enhances the festive experience with its signature dining offerings available throughout the holiday period. Guests may choose from private beach dinners, in-villa dining, exclusive sandbank picnics, or sandbank hut experiences — all set against the Maldives’ naturally picturesque surroundings, creating meaningful moments for families and couples alike while offering unforgettable, photo-worthy settings.
The celebrations conclude on Lunar New Year Day with family-friendly activities such as a Red Packet Hunt, followed by a Lunar New Year Hot Pot Night at Raakani, centred on sharing, warmth, and togetherness.
Designed to suit both family getaways and romantic escapes, Fushifaru Maldives’ Chinese New Year celebration offers a harmonious blend of relaxation, indulgence, and island charm — creating meaningful holiday memories far from home.
