The Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025 reached a historic conclusion last night at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, where Joali Maldives claimed the ultimate title, triumphing in a thrilling Grand Final that marked the end of one of the most competitive editions of the tournament to date. Joali Maldives were also the champions of the Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2024, making this their second consecutive win in the tournament.

This year’s tournament was the most ambitious yet, featuring 50 resort teams from across the Maldives, each competing zone-by-zone to earn their place in the national stages. After weeks of intense futsal battles, and standout performances, Joali Maldives rose above all, securing their name in Tekkers history as the 2025 Champions.

A Grand Celebration to Mark the Final Showdown

Hosted at Sheraton Maldives, the evening began with a special curtain-raiser match that set the tone for a night of excitement and unity. Sheraton Management faced off against a team from the Ministry of Sports in a friendly exhibition match that had the crowd entertained from the first whistle. The match ended 2–2, leading to a lively penalty shootout in which Sheraton emerged victorious, adding early celebrations to the night.

The official Grand Final ceremony then commenced with both finalist teams taking to the pitch, greeted by senior Sheraton representatives and tournament officials as anticipation filled the arena.

The Grand Final brought together two powerhouse teams: Joali Maldives and The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli. From the first minute, Joali displayed intensity, precision, and championship hunger. They dominated early possession and broke through the Vommuli defense twice in the first half, heading into the break with a confident 2–0 lead.

Returning for the second half with relentless energy, Joali doubled their advantage with two more brilliantly executed goals, extending the score to 4–0. St. Regis Vommuli, known for their fighting spirit throughout the tournament, refused to concede quietly. In the final minutes, they staged a late surge, scoring twice to narrow the deficit to 4–2, but the clock was not on their side. As the final whistle echoed across the arena, Joali Maldives celebrated a well-deserved and emphatic victory, officially becoming the Tekkers Dhiraagu Resort Cup 2025 Champions.
