Qatar Airways has announced the appointment of Shashini Seneviratne as the new Commercial Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives.

In this role, Shashini will drive commercial and sales strategies across both markets, strengthen partnerships with the travel trade, boost market growth, and uphold Qatar Airways commitment to delivering world-class service in the region.

Shashini brings 10 years of aviation industry experience, including seven years with Qatar Airways, with strong expertise in commercial strategy and airline sales. Before this role, she was Senior Account Manager- Sales at Qatar Airways, where she played a key role in expanding the airline's market presence and fostering strong relationships across the travel and tourism sector.

Significantly, Shashini becomes the first female to hold this position in the region, marking an important milestone for the airline as well as the local region. Her appointment underscores Qatar Airways dedication to leadership excellence and its confidence in the talent emerging in the region.
