Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives), along with 230 representatives from 111 travel and tourism establishments, are showcasing the unparalleled offerings of the Maldives at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025. The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Thoriq Ibrahim, is participating at this year’s ATM and is scheduled to meet with key industry partners to spearhead the work to market and promote Maldives as a world leading travel destination.
ATM 2025 is being held from 28th April to 01 May 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are also delighted to have Beond as our Official Airline Partner for this significant event, highlighting the crucial air connectivity between the Maldives and the Middle East.
As the Middle East's leading international travel and tourism marketplace, ATM provides a global stage for inbound and outbound professionals to present their products and services to influential buyers and create long-term partnerships. Throughout the four-day event, attendees can network, share insights, and gain new perspectives by engaging with top industry experts and innovative entrepreneurs driving change in the travel industry.
MMPRC’s participation in ATM assists in further solidifying the Maldives’ position within the Middle Eastern market. The event aims to attract a number of affluent travellers, ultimately driving tourism growth in the luxury and MICE sectors. There are multiple opportunities to connect with the Middle Eastern travel trade and facilitate one-on-one interactions with regional and global travel partners. Additionally, ATM provides a significant platform for industry partners to showcase the different tourism products, services, and experiences, establishing the Maldives as a top-tier mid-range destination for all potential long-haul holidaymakers.
At ATM 2025, visitors to the Maldives’ stand can anticipate productive meetings with travel industry leaders and partners. MMPRC is also conducting media interviews, boosting the destination's visibility in the market. Furthermore, a dedicated cultural performance area immerses visitors in the rich heritage and vibrant traditions of the Maldives, providing a taste of the unique experiences awaiting travellers to the Sunny Side of Life. Additionally, the gastronomy counter offers a delightful sampling of Maldivian flavours. The stand showcases Maldivian creativity through live art demonstrations and art displays throughout the stand.
During the fair, several significant MOU signings and launch events are taking place at the Maldives stand. Agreements were signed with Emirates Airlines and Qatar Airways on the first day of the fair, strengthening international partnerships and enhancing connectivity. The occasion also featured the launch of Maldivian Airlines’ new inflight magazine at the Maldives stand, adding to the excitement of the day.
Visit Maldives will also be signing further agreements with the Bank of Maldives, the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), and Resort Life Travel, continuing its efforts to promote the Maldives as a leading destination. Additionally, The National Hotel & Guesthouse Association of Maldives (NHGAM) will launch their second edition of “I AM Maldives” Magazine, further strengthening the Maldives presence in this key market.
Beyond the stand, Visit Maldives has planned several events on the sidelines of ATM 2025 to further enhance the Maldives' presence at the fair. This includes taxi advertising with high visibility at the Convention Gate Entrance, ensuring broad exposure for the Maldives. There was a Maldivian Evening held last night, with the aim of bringing together Middle Eastern and international travel trade partners, media representatives, dignitaries, and other industry stakeholders.
The Middle Eastern market has been a key source market for the Maldives. As of 09th April 2025, a total of 14,078 travellers arrived in the Maldives from the Middle East and GCC region. To solidify the Maldives' position as a top travel destination in the Middle East, MMPRC conducts multitudes of marketing and promotional activities. MMPRC successfully hosted renowned Emirati content creator and digital storyteller, Khalid Al Ameri, for an exclusive familiarisation trip last month and have an upcoming joint marketing campaign with DNATA, reinforcing the destination’s appeal across the market. Looking ahead, we have Visit Maldives Week roadshow; collaborative promotions with key airlines; webinar series; outdoor advertising campaigns; and TV promotions on prominent channels. Through these strategic marketing efforts in the Middle East, MMPRC aims to sustain tourism growth and strengthen the Maldives' position as a premier destination in the region.
