Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Dhawa Ihuru has announced the well-deserved promotion of Mohamed Asif (Aswar) to Assistant Director of Engineering. With over two decades of unwavering dedication and exceptional contributions to the resorts' engineering operations, Aswar's promotion reflects his commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation.
Aswar's journey with Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Dhawa Ihuru has been marked by his instrumental role in maintaining the resorts' engineering infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, and championing sustainable practices. His leadership has consistently delivered significant cost-saving measures, impactful infrastructure improvements, and forward-thinking environmental initiatives.
In 2024, Aswar played a pivotal role in the successful transformation of Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru under the "Original Maldives" concept. His expertise ensured the seamless integration of sustainable design elements throughout the resort's upgrades. Notably, he expertly managed the design and construction of a new associate restaurant, enhancing both functionality and operational efficiency.
Aswar’s dedication to environmental stewardship was further exemplified by his proactive proposal and implementation of a state-of-the-art Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). This initiative significantly reduces water waste and optimizes resource management, demonstrating his commitment to long-term sustainability.
His exceptional performance and dedication were recognized earlier this year when he was awarded “Manager of the Year 2024,” a testament to his expertise, problem-solving skills, and innovative approach.
"Aswar has proven to be an invaluable member of our team, consistently delivering exceptional results in the execution of recent renovation projects, each with its own set of complexities," said Hery Kuswoyo, General Manager of Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Dhawa Ihuru. "His leadership, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to excellence have set a high standard within the team and our resort."
In his new position as Assistant Director of Engineering, Aswar will continue to lead the engineering team, ensuring the highest standards of operational efficiency, sustainability, and guest satisfaction.
