This month, the Hard Rock Hotel Maldives will host Carnaval 2023, a spectacular eight-day extravaganza that will feature an incredible array of parties, parades, dances, dining experiences, and more. Carnaval 2023 will bring the spirit of South America to the Indian Ocean. The Hard Rock Hotel Maldives is the iconic music-themed five-star resort at CROSSROADS Maldives, the premier multi-island destination.

Carnivals are among the most energizing events in the world because they bring communities together, encourage costume-making and dancing in pulsating parades that move through the streets. Carnaval 2023 offers the ideal chance for party-loving friends, adventurous families, and inventive couples to meet, mingle, and enjoy a party unlike any other at Hard Rock Hotel and The Marina @ CROSSROADS, the first and largest of its kind in the Maldives. This is in keeping with CROSSROADS Maldives’ motto of being a place where cultures connect.

On Friday, February 24th, the samba drums will begin to beat as Carnaval 2023 gets under way with a tropical Tie Dye Party during the day and a glamorous Masquerade Party at the Marquee after dark, giving revelers of all ages their first taste of this fantastic fiesta. Then, on February 25, travelers can experience an authentic Brazilian dinner at The Elephant & The Butterfly, a Mexican and Latin American beachfront restaurant that was inspired by the romance between Frida Kahlo and Diego Revera, while also learning the rhythm of Latin America. The Pool Bar will then host a Brazilian DJ who will play upbeat music until late.

The following week will be filled with a jam-packed schedule of fun and engaging events for everyone, from daytime dance classes, Brazilian cocktail master classes, kid’s costume parties, and samba performances to DJ parties, Latin nights, alluring evening buffets, and karaoke sessions at the Hard Rock Cafe after hours.

The main Carnaval Parade can then be attended by visitors from all over the world on Friday, March 3. Put on your glitziest, glitteriest attire and experience Rio de Janeiro’s rhythm while being surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Maldives. Along with this joyous event, a bustling street market will offer genuine arts and crafts, mouthwatering street food, and much more! The last samba lesson, a Brazilian dinner at The Elephant & The Butterfly, and a barefoot party with DJ Carol Garcia at the Pool Bar round out Carnaval 2023 on Saturday, March 4.
