A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Villa Hotel and Resorts and

the Maldives National University (MNU) to develop a wide range of cooperative activities

aimed at developing a new generation of highly skilled talents in the tourism and hospitality

sector and helping to implement nation-building strategies.

The agreement between Villa Hotels & Resorts and the Facility of Hospitality & Tourism

Studies of the Maldives National University was signed on September 14, 2022. Its goal

includes enhancing the nation’s talent pool and accelerating the development of a new

generation of applied, highly skilled talents. A pool of educated young adults with a strong

sense of practicality, good hands-on abilities, and a high level of organizational and business

awareness and familiarity are also being developed and nurtured.

Villa Hotels and Resorts will offer the students a structured internship program as well as

full-time career options as per the terms of this agreement. The agreement will also increase

job prospects, open doors to career opportunities across the nation, and provide a greater

grasp of the present employment chances at Villa Hotels & Resorts.
