ITA Airways to start flights to Maldives
ITA Airways which is the national airline of Italy has stated that they will begin flights to the Maldives starting from 17th December 2022.
Their route is Rome to Velana International Airport of Maldives and vice versa. These direct flights between Maldives and Rome will be till 26th March of next year and is scheduled to have three flights a week.
As Italy is listed in the top 10 markets of Maldives tourism at 5th place, it is hoped that Maldives will continue to see even more tourists from Italy with the start of ITA Airways flights.
5.9% of the total tourist arrival to the Maldives so far this year have been from Italy.
