After a four-month closure, Velaa Private Island in Noonu Atoll will reopen on September 15, 2022. The resort has been renovating the ultra-luxury island since May 2022.

The resort’s Food and Beverage and Spa operations will see significant changes with the addition of certain new facilities. A wellness village with a more holistic experience, as well as a new wellness restaurant serving spa cuisines, will be added to the gorgeous overwater spa. Recreational amenities, accommodation, and F&B sections are also being renovated. “For a while it has been our desire to bring greater amenities and world-class facilities to the Maldives, a vision made reality though the tireless commitment and hard work of our Velaa Family and its supporters,” said General Manager Wayne Milgate in the newest Velaa Moments Magazine.

Velaa Private Island’s next chapter will be completed by the resort’s ninth anniversary in December 2022. In October 2022, the resort will host an outstanding Halloween event called “Dragons at Velaa,” which will include a variety of engaging activities for both children and adults.
