Manta Air collaborates with Sri Lankan Airlines to provide better connectivity to travelers who wants to travel to the Southern Maldives Atolls!
Manta Air announced that they will be starting flights to Kooddoo and Gan recently, this will be done in hands with the Sri Lankan Airlines. It’s been announced yesterday during a press conference with Manta Air and Sri Lankan Airlines, that Manta Air will be partnering with Sri Lankan Airlines to offer better connectivity in the Southern Maldives.
Those travelers who are looking forward to exploring and see the beauty of Southern Maldives Atolls, the direct flights operated by Sri Lankan Airlines from Colombo to Gan will be the best chance to do that.
Regional Manager of Sri Lankan Airlines Jayantha Abeysinghe stated that this was an opportunity they had hoped for when starting flights to Gan, during the press conference held yesterday morning. They are also discussing to increase the frequency to three weekly flights
CEO of Manta Air Mr. Mohamed Khaleel said,” Due to the lack of convenient connectivity and consequent costs to tourists, it has not been viable for many of them to travel and holiday in the outer atolls. Now, with the introduction of this new route, we can help bloom the tourism industry in the South. This will also develop the guesthouse, homestay and safari markets in the region.”
Manta Air has also mentioned that they are also soon going to start direct flights to Indian cities which will lead to an increase in direct connectivity to the Maldives.
