To promote the tourism in the Maldives exclusively the first yacht rally “Savaadheetha Dhathuru” was planned and taken action recently by the Maldives Integration Integrated Tourism Development Corporation. This was proceeded in hands with the Ministry of Arts Culture and Heritage, and with the help of Maldives National Defense Force. The aim of MTDC is to carry on with this rally at least once every year.

This expedition began in the northernmost Maldivian atoll and came to an end at the beautiful Baa Atoll, where various yachts from the United States, Australia, Ireland, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and India also took part.

The rally came to an end where rally participants docked the vessels at Patina Maldives, Fari islands which was their final destination on 20^th of February. Everyone who participated in the yacht rally arrived at Patina during noon and proceeded with a Gala Night to mark the end of the years “Savaadheetha Dhathuru” in the evening.
