Emirates continues holding the title of being the top airline bringing tourists into Maldives

Ever since the beginning of the Maldives tourism-revival journey, Emirates has been the top airline bringing in tourists into the country even before and is continuing to do so.

Emirates had flown in 192,074 tourists to Maldives between January 1-November 3 2021, as per the latest statistics publicized by the Ministry of Tourism revealed. Since borders were re-opened on 15TH July 2020, the airline has made its way into the shortlist of airlines operating to the Maldives plus topped the list too.

Emirates increased the frequency of flights operating to the island nation in the beginning of the year. Emirates is expecting the boosted services to meet the required market demand to the popular holiday destination.

Furthermore, Maldives recorded 24,788 out of the total of 1,027,154 visitors logged so far this year, having arrived in chartered international flights. Maldives is gearing up to mark 50 years since the tourism industry’s inception, in 2022, which is to be celebrated as the golden year of tourism in Maldives.
