Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Ajay Jawahar Sharma as the new Director of Operations, effective September 2024.
Ajay Jawahar Sharma joins Sheraton Maldives with an impressive 18-year career in the hospitality industry, including six years with Marriott International. Prior to his appointment, Sharma served as the Executive Assistant Manager at W Goa. His tenure at W Goa began as the B&F Operation Manager and progressed to roles including Assistant Director of B&F and Director of B&F.
Sharma’s career includes notable positions with renowned hospitality brands such as InterContinental Hotel Group, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, and Kempinski Hotels. His extensive experience underscores his success in various leadership roles and his ability to drive excellence in high-profile establishments.
In his new role, Sharma will oversee all aspects of the resort’s operations, ensuring that Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa continues to deliver the high standards of service and exceptional guest experiences that it is renowned for.

Sharma holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Meerut, India, and has further refined his expertise through various training programs and certifications. In addition to his professional achievements, he is a passionate cricket enthusiast who enjoys playing and watching the sport. Sharma also has a keen interest in traveling, learning about different cultures, and meeting new people.
