Air Service World Congress Concludes
The recently concluded Air Service World Congress saw a gathering of more than 150 aviation delegates from around the world. Held from July 9 to 11, the event took place across three prestigious venues in the Maldives: Kurumba Maldives, Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort and Spa, and SAii Lagoon Maldives.
Organized in partnership with the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), the congress provided a vital platform for professionals within the air transport sector to engage in networking and explore business prospects. The Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort and Spa set the stage for the opening ceremony, with panel discussions and the closing ceremony hosted at Kurumba Maldives. Networking opportunities were further enhanced at SAii Lagoon Maldives in CROSSROADS, where delegates convened to discuss and forge new partnerships.
Attendees were updated on the latest developments within the Maldivian aviation industry, with a focus on the contributions of Velana International Airport (VIA), the national carrier Maldivian, and local tourism operators. MACL underscored the congress’s role in providing valuable insights into the industry’s progress while fostering connections that stimulate growth and innovation.
Looking ahead, the next Air Service World Congress is slated to be held at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Established in 2010, this annual event continues to be a cornerstone for the global aviation community, driving collaboration and advancement across the sector.
