Maldivian Airlines Expands Fleet with Two New ATR 42-600 Aircraft
The national carrier of the Maldives, Maldivian, is taking steps to boost its aircraft fleet by procuring two brand-new ATR42-600 planes. In a significant milestone, the airline has successfully concluded a Sale and Purchase Contract with ATR as part of its ongoing efforts to expand its fleet.
This announcement underlines Maldivian’s dedication to upgrading and enhancing its operational capabilities. These fresh ATR42-600 aircraft will replace the aging Dash-8 planes currently in the airline’s possession.
Maldivian has already introduced three ATR aircraft, which have proven to be dependable and efficient replacements for older models. The initial ATR42-600 is anticipated to arrive by the end of 2023, followed by the second one in early 2025, aligning with the airline’s strategy to provide passengers with a safe, comfortable, and contemporary travel experience.
