Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi Welcomes Sedat Budgay as New Executive Chef
Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi, a stunning resort nestled in a picturesque location, has appointed Sedat Budgay as its new Executive Chef. Sedat will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the resort’s culinary offerings across its four dining venues – Kata, Azure, Raha Market, and Onu Onu beach bar.
With over 29 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Sedat brings a wealth of international expertise and knowledge to the resort. Throughout his illustrious career, he has worked with several esteemed resort brands, accumulating deep insights and expertise in the luxury F&B department and team management.
Before joining Fairmont Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi, Sedat served as the head of F&B operations at Rixos Marina in Abu Dhabi. He has also held commendable positions at Swissotel Grand Efes Izmir, Fairmont Quasar Istanbul, and Swissotel Ankara, among other leading brands under Accor.
Sedat is excited about his new role and looks forward to bringing his passion for cooking, diverse culinary background, and international influences to the resort. He intends to implement new cooking techniques, introduce zero-waste recipes, and launch a new farm-to-fork concept to elevate the guest experience.
