Constance Halaveli Maldives, the private island resort of Constance Hotels & Resorts unveils a new chapter with refreshed villas, reimagined dining experiences and elevated guest facilities.
Floating in the crystal-clear waters of the North Ari Atoll, Constance Halaveli is a luxury five-star private island resort renowned for its spacious villas, spectacular lagoon setting and heartfelt hospitality. A member of The Leading Hotels of the World, it emerges renewed, blending contemporary elegance with the authentic island spirit that has made Halaveli a favourite among travellers from around the world.
For us, this transformation has always been about building on what our guests value most about Constance Halaveli: the warmth of our people, the beauty of the island and the highly personalised service that makes every stay feel individual," said Tangi Le Grand, General Manager of Constance Halaveli " Today’s luxury guests seek meaningful experiences. Our ambition was to strengthen these pillars while introducing a new level of comfort, refinement, and attention to detail across the resort. The result is a Halaveli that feels simultaneously familiar and renewed."
A Warmer Welcome
From the moment guests arrive on the island, a renewed sense of place unfolds. A redesigned arrival experience sets the tone for a stay defined by greater comfort and seamless service. Across the resort, renovated Beach Villas and Water Villas offer improved space, and functionality, complemented by upgraded amenities, new technology and elevated service standards.

Beyond the villas, the pool and beach areas have also been reimagined with redesigned spaces, upgraded furnishings and a more considered beachfront experience. A new Beach Service Hut creates a dedicated point of service for the pool and beach, allowing the team to spend more time with guests.
Wine & Dine: A Taste of Halaveli
Gastronomy has always been central to the Constance Hotels & Resorts Art de Vivre, and this new chapter brings an even stronger sense of place to the table at Constance Halaveli. Across the island, four distinct restaurants take guests from relaxed beachfront dining to refined overwater gastronomy, each expressing a different facet of the resort’s culinary identity.

At the heart of this evolution is Jing, Constance Halaveli’s signature overwater restaurant, where the setting and culinary direction have both been refreshed. A more open layout, wider lagoon views and a repositioned bar create a more fluid journey from pre-dinner drinks to dinner, while the menu places greater emphasis on locally sourced Maldivian seafood, combined with refined Japanese influences and contemporary European techniques.
A Culinary Vision Shaped by the Island
At the heart of this evolution is Executive Chef Siddiq Hameed, who has spent seventeen years at Constance Halaveli. His approach is rooted in the destination, drawing inspiration from the Maldives’ seafood, tropical flavours and the wider Indian Ocean, while bringing an international perspective to the plate. Among the dishes that define Jing’s new culinary direction, Chef Siddiq Hameed singles out the Maldivian Yellowfin Tuna Steak; a dish rooted in the Indian Ocean and reinterpreted through Jing’s contemporary culinary language.

“Every plate tells a story. My inspiration comes from the Maldives its crystal-clear waters, rich marine life, tropical flavours and the genuine warmth of our people. After seventeen years at Constance Halaveli, it is an honour to share that story with every guest who dines with us.” Chef Siddiq Hameed, Executive Chef.
From the Plate to the Cellar
At Constance Halaveli, the dining journey extends naturally from the plate to the glass. Wine is an integral part of the Constance Art de Vivre, with an experienced sommelier team taking time to understand each guest’s tastes and preferences, before shaping recommendations, pairings and discoveries throughout the stay. Home to more than 22,500 bottles and 1,600 references, Constance Halaveli offers a depth of choice that allows the team to personalise each wine journey with precision. Under the guidance of Head Sommelier Sreejith Menon, this expertise comes to life through private cellar tours, bespoke tastings, wine-paired dinners and tailored recommendations designed around each guest.
The Signature Pairing
For Chef Siddiq Hameed’s Maldivian Yellowfin Tuna Steak, Sreejith Menon has selected an Alsace Grand Cru Schlossberg Riesling 2018 from Domaine Albert Mann, France.
The pairing has been chosen to respond to the contrasting elements of the dish: the freshness of the lightly grilled tuna, the acidity of the summer berry purée, the umami and gentle sweetness of the balsamic notes, and the richness of the prawn-head butter jus.
The Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg reflects the character of its granite terroir with a precise, mineral expression and pronounced aromatic intensity. The warmth of the 2018 vintage lends depth to its citrus and delicate floral notes, while a crystalline acidity brings freshness and structure to the palate. A generous mid-palate balances this liveliness, before a long, pure finish with finely judged bitterness creates harmony with the richness and complexity of the dish.
“Wine is an emotion, full of expression. When it is paired with the right dish, it becomes harmony.” Sreejith Menon, Head Sommelier.
This dialogue between kitchen and cellar is central to the Halaveli experience, where food and wine are conceived together to create moments that feel personal, expertly guided and deeply connected to the island.
Wellbeing Above the Lagoon
At Constance Halaveli, wellbeing follows the natural rhythm of the island. Set directly above the lagoon, the refreshed Constance Spa brings together ocean views, expert treatments and personalised wellness journeys in a setting designed for rest and reconnection.
The Spa continues its partnership with Sisley Paris, bringing the French skincare house’s phytoaromatic expertise to a selection of face and body treatments. Refreshed treatment rooms, relaxation areas and the beauty salon further enhance the experience.

Beyond traditional spa rituals, the programme has expanded to include Full Moon Sound Healing, personalised fitness and wellness journeys, and nutritional recommendations developed in collaboration with the fitness and culinary teams. Hydrotherapy facilities, including a warm plunge pool, regular plunge pool, steam room and sauna, offer additional ways to restore and recharge.
At Constance Halaveli, wellness is not treated as a separate moment in the day, but as a natural extension of island life; personal, restorative and closely connected to the lagoon.
Halaveli for Every Generation
Families have long been part of the Constance Halaveli story, and Coconut Tribe is evolving with a new generation of young travellers. Designed for children aged four to eleven, the concept brings together creativity, nature, wellbeing and sustainability, encouraging younger guests to discover the Maldives through play, exploration and meaningful encounters with the island.

Beyond the Kids Club, Halaveli is designed to bring generations together. From sunset cruises and sandbank moments to watersports, diving and private beach dinners, families can shape their time around experiences shared together, while teenagers have the freedom to explore the island through sport, marine activities and wellness.
The Heart of Halaveli
Spaces can be redesigned, experiences can evolve and new details can be introduced, but one element of Constance Halaveli has remained constant: the people behind it.
For many guests, Halaveli is remembered not only for its lagoon, villas or restaurants, but for the feeling of being known. Service is warm, intuitive and deeply personal; shaped by team members who take the time to understand individual preferences, remember the smallest details and welcome returning guests with genuine familiarity.
Guided by the belief “Come as a guest, leave as a friend,” this human connection remains one of Halaveli’s defining signatures. For many returning guests, these relationships have developed over years, acting as a sense of familiarity that goes far beyond traditional service. From the first welcome on the jetty to the quiet gestures that shape each stay, Constance Halaveli is carried by a team whose warmth, intuition and generosity give the experience its emotional depth.

Through the Eyes of a Returning Guest
Our memories of Constance are not limited to a single moment - they are a collection of countless, vivid experiences. Each time we close our eyes, images of this stunning island in the Indian Ocean flood our minds. With every sunset, we hear the soothing roar of the waves. These memories are deeply embedded in our hearts and continue to draw us back time and time again.
Each time we arrive, we’re greeted warmly by the entire Constance team - it never ceases to amaze us. Nowhere else in the world do we feel more at home than at Halaveli. That genuine, heartfelt welcome is something truly special and unforgettable.
We’ve known many members of the Constance team for years - they’ve watched our children grow up. From the little ones enjoying activities lovingly prepared by Gigi at the kids' club, to the cooking lessons introduced by Chef Siddiq, to playing the Master Cocktail game with Bandara - each memory is filled with joy.
It’s thanks to the guidance and support of the Diving Center that our whole family became certified divers. After long journeys, we always rely on Ishan and his wonderful spa team to help us unwind and feel refreshed. Sameera’s constant support and openness in every matter have been truly invaluable to us. And overseeing it all with care and professionalism is Mr. Tangi.
It's impossible to name everyone, but each team member holds a special place in our hearts. Over time, they have become more than just staff; they have become true friends. We celebrate many important moments with Constance, including birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays.
At Constance, we feel at home.
With warm regards,
Katarzyna Bułach
True by Nature
At the heart of Halaveli’s new chapter is the True by Nature philosophy of Constance Hotels & Resorts. The resort has evolved without losing its essence. Like the coral reefs that surround it, Halaveli has renewed itself layer by layer while remaining true to its nature.
For returning guests, it is the island they know and love, rediscovered with renewed emotion. For those arriving for the first time, it is an invitation to experience the Maldives not only as a destination, but as a place where nature, connection and emotion come together with quiet intensity.
