Qatar Airways will increase its services between Doha and Malé from 12 to 21 flights per week from 25 October 2026, bringing the route to three daily connections through Hamad International Airport.

The addition of nine weekly flights represents a 75 percent increase in frequency and will provide travellers with greater flexibility when travelling between the Maldives and Qatar. The expanded schedule is also expected to strengthen connectivity to the Maldives from key international markets across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

The increase forms part of Qatar Airways’ 2026-2027 winter schedule, with the airline planning to serve more than 170 destinations worldwide. Nearly 1,800 weekly flights are expected to operate across its global network during December, as the carrier expands capacity ahead of the winter travel period.

Doha serves as an important transit point for travellers heading to the Maldives, particularly from long-haul markets across Europe and other Western regions. The additional services are therefore expected to provide increased access to the destination ahead of the Maldives’ peak tourism season.

Qatar Airways is also expanding its operations across the Asia Pacific region, with additional services planned for destinations including Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne. The airline will also resume daily flights to Canberra via Melbourne.

Alongside its network expansion, Qatar Airways is continuing the rollout of Starlink connectivity across its fleet. The airline expects up to 340 Starlink-enabled flights to operate each day, with more than 150 widebody aircraft equipped with the service.
