Ahmed Majid has been promoted to Director of Engineering. Having joined Gili Lankanfushi in October 2010 as Chief Engineer, Majid brings more than 15 years of experience and institutional knowledge to the role. Throughout his tenure, he has played a key role in delivering engineering projects and initiatives that have supported the resort's operations, sustainability objectives and long-term development.

Ahmed Visam has been appointed Assistant Human Resources Manager. Visam joined Gili Lankanfushi in August 2022 as Assistant Front Office Manager and quickly distinguished himself through his natural leadership, people-focused approach and eagerness to learn. Throughout his journey, he has consistently stepped beyond the scope of his role, building strong relationships across departments and serving as a trusted source of support for both colleagues and guests. His move into Human Resources reflects his passion for people development and his ability to inspire and connect with those around him.

Known for her positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative, she has played an important role in supporting daily HR operations and fostering a welcoming environment for team members across the resort.
