To kick off the program, SIMDI Beverage recently hosted a combined training event, running two batches back- to-back. The inaugural rollout welcomed 34 front-line hospitality professionals representing 27 different resorts across the Maldives.

As a gesture of partnership, SIMDI Beverage fully sponsored this initial training. The decision to cover the costs was made to invest directly in the talented individuals who drive the local hospitality industry, reflecting SIMDI’s commitment to growing alongside its resort partners.

"Distribution is about more than logistics; it's about growing together," said Adam Ramic, Division Head of SIMDI Beverage. "We wanted to invest directly in the passionate people who bring these brands to life for guests every single day. Seeing 27 resorts come together for our first two batches was a fantastic moment for our team, and we are thrilled to now expand our training scope to include spirits."

WSET is widely recognized as the gold standard for wine and spirits education. By running these programs as a Closed APP, SIMDI Beverage offers its resort partners a streamlined, highly focused environment to equip their teams with deep product knowledge and tasting expertise.

With its first major training successfully completed and the new spirits curriculum officially added, SIMDI Beverage looks forward to welcoming the next wave of hospitality professionals and continuing to support the Maldivian tourism sector.
