Niva Dhigali is delighted to announce the appointment of Elena Philip Perembiyil as Executive Housekeeper. She brings with her nearly three decades of international hospitality experience to the island. Originally from Bengaluru, India her career has been shaped across the Caribbean, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean.
Most recently, as Cluster Executive Housekeeper at Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet in Saint Lucia, Elena led the housekeeping operations of these two Caribbean resorts through a period of remarkable recognition - Forbes 4-Star rating and AAA Five Diamond Award, both earned in 2024 and 2025.
Before Saint Lucia, she served as Director of Housekeeping Excellence at Oyster Bay, Jamaica. Her earlier chapters reach further still - pre-opening leadership at the Jebel Ali Hotel in Dubai, and formative years across resorts in the Caribbean.
Elena holds a Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive (CHHE) certification from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, and a foundation in hotel management from the Indian Institute of Hotel Management, Ahmedabad.
But her truest gift is how she cares for and supports her team. Across every property, she has mentored housekeepers into supervisors, supervisors into managers, and diverse teams into a united front. For Elena, housekeeping is more than an operational standard - it is the art of hospitality. It is about creating spaces that breathe, rooms that welcome, and a sense of ease that guests feel the moment they arrive and carry with them throughout their stay.
