The Maldives has won the “Best Stand Feature” award at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023, as announced by the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) / Visit Maldives. The Maldives’ stand was able to win against various other significant destinations competing in the same category. The award was presented to the Maldives stand on Wednesday, and it was judged anonymously by a panel who visited the stands and awarded the stand with the most distinctive features and the most engaging experience for visitors at the fair. The award is a testament to the hard work dedicated to curating the Maldives’ stand as the most attractive, vibrant, and energetic stand at the fair. This is the first time that the awards were introduced at ATM 2023.

The Maldives has a double-decker stand showcasing the destination at ATM 2023, with an area of 429 sqm at the Dubai fair, giving visitors a glimpse of the breathtaking “Sunny Side of Life.” Every aspect of the stand was thoughtfully curated to showcase the diversity and beauty of Maldivian as a destination, inspired by the geographically scattered islands of the Maldives. The stand consists of 90 co-exhibitor counters and 53 B2B meeting tables, designed to provide visitors with exciting experiences. Co-exhibitors interact with visitors, while fun quizzes are conducted at the stand. LED screens showcase the stunning sights from the Maldives, while the 360 video booth offers an engaging activity for visitors. Gift bags are also given to visitors to the stand.

The Arabian Travel Market is a significant event for the inbound and outbound travel industry in the Middle East, and MMPRC participated in ATM 2023 with the largest Maldivian delegation to attend the fair. Over 200 partners representing 90 travel and tourism establishments were promoting the Maldives at the event. The fair was held from 01 to 04 May 2023 at the Dubai World Trade Center. This marks the first time that the Maldives participated in ATM after winning the prestigious tourism industry title of “World’s Leading Destination” for three consecutive years. Overall, the Maldives’ stand at ATM 2023 received high engagement from visitors, providing them with a unique and unforgettable experience at the fair.
