InterContinental Maldives Welcomes New Spa Manager and Visiting Practitioners to Enhance Wellness Journeys at AVI Spa
The InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort has recently appointed Tati Nurhayati as the new Spa Manager for the Overwater AVI Spa, an award-winning spa. With over 20 years of experience in the spa and wellness industry, Tati is a valuable addition to the team, having worked in various countries, including the Maldives, Africa, and Indonesia. Her passion for skincare and holistic wellness approaches aligns with the spa’s commitment to providing guests with a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Tati believes that the skin’s health affects our overall well-being and quality of life, and stress, environmental factors, and diet impact the skin’s health. Hence, it is only natural to focus on skin health in spa treatments. As part of the resort’s commitment to enhancing the guest experience, the AVI Spa welcomes visiting practitioners throughout the year, and in May, Jing Yang Zhao, a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, will be joining the team.
Jing Yang has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science and Acupuncture and specializes in treating various conditions, including fatigue, insomnia, digestive and bowel issues, gynaecological issues, stress relief, and balancing the body’s energy. She will be offering a variety of treatments during her three-month residency, including acupuncture, Guasha treatments, and cosmetic acupuncture, in line with the global trend of non-invasive beauty treatments. She will also bring her knowledge of Tui Na and Cupping, offering guests a holistic Chinese medicine journey.
In August, the AVI spa team will be joined by another exciting visiting practitioner, Master Sifu Aniket. Master Sifu embraces the art of healing through observing and balancing the body’s energy, traditional yoga practice from the Himalayas region, crystal reiki, sound healing, and hypnotherapy. With qualifications in Hapkido, Taekwondo, and Kung Fu, Master Shifu promises to provide guests with an authentic and holistic journey through energy healing, meditation, and martial arts.
The InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort’s wellness and recreation team consists of a diverse range of specialists and professionals who ensure that guests explore and find their personal wellness journey during their stay. Tati’s appointment as the new Spa Manager promises an ever-evolving guest experience at the AVI Spa, with a continuous enhancement and addition to the visiting practitioners’ portfolio. Guests can look forward to many exciting experiences and holistic wellness journeys throughout the year.
