Jamie Oliver and wife Juliette renew their wedding vows in a luxurious island ceremony after 23 years of marriage
Jamie Oliver, the 47-year-old father-of-five and celebrity TV chef, recently celebrated a significant milestone in his life and marriage by renewing his wedding vows with his wife Juliette. After 23 years of marriage, Jamie and Juliette decided to commemorate their relationship by getting married all over again, in what can only be described as a fabulous ceremony in the Maldives. The ceremony was attended by their five children, Poppy, Petal, Daisy, Buddy, and River, who witnessed their parents renewing their vows in a stunning location, complete with dreamy blue waters on an idyllic island.
Jamie wanted to celebrate this milestone before his children start ‘leaving the nest,’ and so the family made the trip to the Maldives to renew their vows. Jamie wore a stunning, baby blue suit that echoed that of his first wedding combined with a chill, open-collar shirt, while Juliette opted for a whimsical, floaty gown with Bardot sleeves. The couple looked stunning and so in love, as they renewed their commitment to each other.
Jamie shared the news of the vow renewal online, penning a beautiful message about his marriage and how happy he is that he and ‘Jools’ have ‘come this far.’ He looked back over the last 23 years of his life with his wife and noted that time seems to have passed in a ‘blink’ of an eye, with the words in the ceremony making more sense having come this far together.
While the trip to the Maldives had always been a dream for Jamie and his partner, the pictures evidence just how incredible the experience was, as the entire family laughed and celebrated together against the serene backdrop of sandy shores. Jools added that what made the day even more treasured 23 years on was the fact that her children could witness it. ‘Seeing the children’s little faces made the whole experience so special,’ Jamie wrote on Instagram.
Famous faces like Lisa Snowdon, Fay Ripley, and Giovanna Fletcher congratulated the couple on their big day, wishing them happiness with ‘all their love has created’ over the span of their lives together. The couple was initially due to renew their vows on their 20th anniversary after a tough year. Still, they waited a few years longer to celebrate their love in style.
