With 500,597 entries on March 26, 2023, the number of tourists exceeded 500,000. In comparison to the same time last year, there has been a 22.21% increase in tourist arrivals in the Maldives.
The administration predicted that more than 1.8 million tourists would visit the Maldives this year. 28 percent of this goal has already been reached in less than three months.

Arrivals are a simple metric to assess the health of the tourist sector, but they are not the only one. Along with other metrics, such as occupancy rates, typical daily rates for rooms, and available income per room, it must be evaluated.
