JOALI Sustainability Fund Unveils Grants for 2023 Initiatives
JOALI, the renowned luxury hospitality and lifestyle brand with two award-winning islands in the Maldives, is dedicated to prioritizing sustainability in all aspects of their operations. As part of their commitment to support positive transformation of local communities and the environment, the JOALI Sustainability Fund has announced that it will offer grants of up to USD 3,000 for various initiatives in 2023.
Projects that are eligible for funding must be located in Raa Atoll, where both JOALI properties are situated, and must demonstrate sustainability, have the potential to create a lasting impact, and align with the four focus areas of the JOALI Sustainability Fund. These focus areas include safeguarding the planet, fostering wellbeing, creating platforms for women, and nurturing ethical consumption.
Esin Güral Argat, the founder of JOALI, emphasizes that the company is deeply committed to responsible luxury and sustainability. “The joy of caring is embedded in the DNA of JOALI. Every aspect of our culture and strategy is woven around the idea of responsible luxury,” says Güral Argat. “We are proud of the meaningful changes we have been able to create since our arrival in the Maldives.”
Grant applications will be accepted twice a year, in March and September 2023, and a minimum of ten projects will receive funding, with each initiative receiving a maximum grant of USD 3,000. The JOALI Sustainability Fund aims to support locally-led projects that promote sustainability and create a positive impact on the environment and communities in Raa Atoll.
JOALI’s commitment to sustainability is evident in every aspect of their brand, from their focus on eco-friendly practices to their support for local initiatives that promote sustainability and community development. The JOALI Sustainability Fund is just one example of the company’s ongoing dedication to creating a better, more sustainable world for all.
