Asaf Tasdan appointed as The Executive Chef at Le Meridien Maldives

Le Meridien Maldives Resort & Spa has recently welcomed a new Executive Chef, Asaf Tasdan, who will be responsible for managing all F&B outlets at the luxury resort. This includes the newly refurbished Riviera Tapas & Bar, which Chef Tasdan will oversee. He has a wealth of experience having worked at several high-end properties in the Middle East, including The Nile Ritz-Carlton Hotel and the JW Marriott Doha.

One of the resort’s main focuses is sustainability, self-sufficiency, and eco-friendliness. The resort’s facilities include ‘The Greenhouse’, which is a semi-automated hydroponic system that produces fresh leafy vegetables for resort guests and neighbouring islands. The 480 m² greenhouse uses state-of-the-art technologies, including an automated irrigation system that captures and recycles rainwater. Chef Tasdan shares the resort’s vision of sustainability and is passionate about using the produce grown on the island to create delicious dishes.
