Avani, a brand under Minor Hotels, will be opening its first resort in the Maldives on April 1, 2023. The resort, called Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort, is located in Baa Atoll and offers 176 keys including beach pool villas, four-bedroom beach pavilions, and three-bedroom overwater villas. This will be Minor's sixth property in the Maldives. The resort features seven restaurants, a water sports center, an AvaniFit gym, and an AvaniSpa. Additionally, the resort is offering various opening offers such as Avani Beach Studios starting at USD 650 per night. Fares is situated within the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, which is home to 61 protected islands.
