MMPRC invites media representatives from Thailand
The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), also known as Visit Maldives, has invited prominent journalists and bloggers from Thailand to experience the exceptional hospitality and luxury that the Sunny Side of Life offers to tourists. The representatives arrived in the Maldives on February 20, 2023, for a six-day trip to immerse themselves in unique experiences, products, and renowned service standards of the Maldives.
The team comprises two journalists, three bloggers, and one PR representative who will stay at Pullman Maldives Maamutaa, Mercure Maldives Kooddoo, and Reethi Beach Resort in the Maldives. They will share their experiences through online articles, publications, and social media platforms, which will help to increase brand awareness and promote the Maldives as a top-of-mind destination. The content generated by these media members is expected to reach over 6,179,000 impressions.
This media trip is part of MMPRC’s marketing strategy for Southeast Asia, which aims to showcase the Maldives’ diverse and unique aspects to travelers from the region. Thailand is currently ranked #38 globally for inbound visitors to the Maldives, and MMPRC plans to boost arrivals from Southeast Asia this year with various campaigns and promotions, such as participation in MATTA 2023, ADEX Ocean Mission 2023, and hosting a Maldives Roadshow in Southeast Asia.
