Crown & Champa Resorts has announced major appointments at three of its resorts.
The Crown & Champa Resorts collection has announced three key new appointments: Ali Navaz as General Manager of the truly adults-only Komandoo Island Resort & Spa, Bahauddeen as Resort Manager of Hurawalhi Island Resort, which is home to 5.8 Undersea Restaurant, and Jorge Amaro as General Manager of the all-beach bungalow Innahura Maldives Resort, all of which are located in the dive-renowned Lhaviyani Atoll.
Ali Navaz – General Manager, Komandoo Island Resort & Spa
Ali Navaz has worked with the collection for 5 years and has 22 years of local business expertise. He began working as the Front of House Manager at Hurawalhi Island Resort in 2017. His commitment to the Hurawalhi team and great service resulted in his elevation to Resort Manager in March 2021. Navaz has guided the team in the correct way with his great guest service and operational talents. The 60-key Komandoo Island Resort & Spa, named #7 in TripAdvisor’s Top Romantic Hotels in Asia – boutique resort in 2022, will welcome Navaz as its new General Manager in January 2023.
Bahauddeen – Resort Manager, Hurawalhi Island Resort
Bahauddeen, or Bahau to the staff, joined the resort collection as the Resort Manager in October 2018 at the pre-opening of Kudadoo Maldives Private Island. He was critical in keeping Kudadoo at its world-class, completely inclusive experiences of freedom redefined. Bahau, a Maldivian with 22 years of experience in the hospitality business, will join Kudadoo’s 90-key sister property Hurawalhi Island Resort as Resort Manager in January 2023.
Jorge Amaro – General Manager, Innahura Maldives Island
As the recently hired General Manager of the 78-key Innahura Maldives Island, Jorge from Portugal offers 25 years of hospitality expertise. He has worked in a number of hotels in France, Portugal, and the Seychelles, and he is well-versed in Maldives resort operations.
