Vijay Kumar has been appointed General Manager of the Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort. No stranger to the Maldives, having previously worked as the Complex Director of Finance at W Maldives and Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa. Vijay has over 15 years of various hospitality operations and managerial expertise.

Vijay is a dedicated, hands-on, and strategic leader who has held multiple responsibilities in the financial sector at several Marriott International properties in India, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Maldives. He has four hotel openings under his belt. Vijay transitioned from finance to operations as the Hotel Manager at The Andaman, A Luxury Collection Resort in Langkawi, Malaysia, in 2018.

On his appointment Vijay said, “Being a strong advocate of a balanced lifestyle personally, I am excited to come on board this wellness oasis, The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort, in my first role as a General Manager and lead a team that strives to create experiences that help guests become the best version of themselves while there are on vacation.”
