The Maldives Showcasing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) and industry partners are marketing the Sunny Side of Life and all its delights at Fitur 2023, the worldwide gathering place for tourism experts and major trade expo for inbound and outbound markets.
From the 18th to the 22nd of January, industry experts and consumers alike may learn about the varied range of experiences offered in the Maldives at the physical show, which will be held at IFEMA MADRID's Recinto Ferial. This is the first big travel trade event in which MMPRC will take part this year.
Fitur brings together travel agencies, wholesalers, hotels and lodging, transportation businesses, leisure and cultural infrastructures, Spanish government agencies, and travel media. The event provides fantastic commercial prospects as well as access to qualified and relevant travel buyers, influencers, and market experts.
Along with MMPRC, the event will have around 41 participants from 23 businesses showcasing their different goods, services, and experiences. MMPRC is marketing the varied experiences available on the Sunny Side of Life, with a focus on promoting the many tourism categories in the Maldives. Participation in FITUR 2023 aims to create awareness among Spanish visitors about the goods and experiences available in the Maldives, as well as to provide a venue for networking with industry specialists from the Spanish market.
During Fitur 2023, MMPRC will hold raffle drawings at the Maldives' exhibit to give away free vacations. On the first, third, fourth, and fifth days of the fair, raffles are held. Each day, one winner is chosen.
Visit Maldives will promote the destination through outdoor advertising as well as campaigns with leading tour operators and online travel companies. For this market, media familiarization visits will be organized to allow journalists to explore the Maldives firsthand. In terms of tourist arrivals, MMPRC was one of the top ten markets in 2022.
MMPRC was awarded the title of 'World's Leading Tourist Board' for the first time in our nation's history. The national tourist arrivals target set by H.E President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih for the year 2022 was also reached in December. This included over 90 marketing campaigns, attending 42 fairs and hosting 06 roadshows.
