Velaa Private Island has opened a wellness restaurant
The highest-quality ingredients elevate this well-inspired eatery, Faiy.
Faiy, the new restaurant at Velaa Private Island in the Maldives, opened this month, delivering upgraded wellness-focused food among the island’s gorgeous tropical gardens. Dishes are nutritious, light, and colorful, using clean, unprocessed, and whole ingredients that are as close to their natural forms as possible, such as Marinated Avocado with Maldivian Yellow Fin Tuna and Beetroot Tartar and Fresh Water Prawns with Green Mango, Thai Basil, and Pink Grapefruit.
The new restaurant, which means ‘leaf’ in local Dhivehi, is part of a larger plan to expand the island’s wellness offering in 2023, which includes the opening of Velaa Serenity Pavilion, which includes an indoor studio and elevated deck where guests can enjoy yoga, meditation, and Pilates in tranquil surroundings.
With a collection of 47 superbly built villas and homes, Velaa is one of the world’s most exclusive island resorts, prioritizing luxury and solitude. Faiy joins the Maldives’ existing collection of bars and restaurants, which includes Aragu, where classic European flavors are given a contemporary Asian twist; Tavaru, a teppanyaki restaurant with the Maldives’ most extensive wine collection; and a new Beach Bar serving innovative cocktails and light bites on the beach.
