A new resident marine biologist and sustainability guardian is appointed at Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives
Dee Bello has been appointed as the in-house marine biologist and sustainability guardian at Grand Park Kodhipparu, Maldives, to guarantee that the island’s ecology, particularly the marine biosphere, is flourishing and preserved.
Dee has a distinguished experience in marine biology, having worked in places like Cape Verde, Malaysia, the Maldives, Costa Rica, and Spain, among others. In the present era, when the globe is quickly moving toward climatic degeneration, her knowledge in nature-based asset management, conservation, restoration, and analysis is important.
She has participated in a number of noteworthy initiatives, such as the World Wildlife Fund and Sea Shepherd Society’s Milagro campaign to conserve the vaquita marina porpoise (Phocoena sinus), the most endangered marine mammal in the world. At Velaa Private Island, she began her career in the Maldives’ hospitality industry. Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives will carry on its Coral Restoration and Conservation Project under Dee’s direction, working in conjunction with the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, the neighborhood, and the local government.
Raffaele Solferino, General Manager of Grand Park Kodhipparu, Maldives said, “We are delighted to welcome Dee Bello as the Resident Marine Biologist & sustainability guardian at Grand Park Kodhipparu, Maldives. I am confident that she will help our eco-system thrive and will strengthen our sustainability ethos in a meaningful way.”
