TMA Achieves a Milestone and expands Fleet by 60 Seaplanes
The landmark 60th aircraft has joined the fleet of Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA). On November 16, 2022, a De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter that had flown all the way from Canada landed at Velana International Airport.
By the end of this year, the airline hopes to serve more passengers, and it looks forward to maintaining and growing its level of customer service to all those that wish to visit Maldives.
TMA has been the go-to method for connecting visitors from Velana International Airport to more than 80 resorts spread across 14 atolls because it is the oldest and most seasoned transport company in the Maldives. TMA has expanded to be one of largest in the Maldives, a significant contributor to the tourism sector. From its modest beginnings with 2 aircraft and 4 passengers to its current status as the World’s Largest Seaplane Operator with a fleet of 60 aircraft.
It is commendable what TMA has evolved into.
