Newly Renovated Anantara Veli Maldives Resort To reopen on 1 December 2022
Following nine months of intensive renovations, the Anantara Veli Maldives Resort will reopen on 1 December 2022, just in time for the busiest holiday season. The adults-only resort, which can be reached from Male International Airport in 30 minutes by speedboat, will include new accommodations, including a top room category, as well as redesigned eateries and a spa, giving visitors the best of island flair.
All of the villas have had a thorough renovation in a traditional-meets-modern tropical style, utilizing the newest high-tech conveniences as well as a natural color scheme of wood and stone, cool fabrics, and rattan finishes.
The 148 sqm Beach Pool Villa, a brand-new accommodation category, will be the most opulent on the island and include sliding glass doors that open into a private pool and the beach and ocean just steps away. Each of the six Beach Pool Villas has a dedicated Villa Host.
A new wellness concept that enables visitors to reserve a Wellness Villa experience will be unveiled with the reopening of Anantara Veli. The Ayurvedic spa amenities, an earthing mat for meditation, and a wellness minibar with herbal teas, nutritious shakes, and wholefood snacks are all included in their villa’s enhancements for light, sound, and aroma therapy that transform the villa’s atmosphere from day to night. Every stay in a wellness villa comes with a wellness consultation upon arrival, daily yoga or exercise classes, a cooking lesson focused on healthy eating, and a 20% discount on services at Balance Wellness by Anantara.
At the very center of the island sits the spa, Balance Wellness by Anantara, a haven of healing. Ayurvedic treatments, IV therapy, and the newest in epigenetics are just a few of the wellness alternatives available outside of the typical spa. A brand-new hammam may be found at the spa as well. In conjunction with the on-site naturopath, nutritionist, personal trainer, yoga instructor, and lifestyle coach, multi-day health retreats are tailored to the participant’s needs.
In order to provide real hammam treatments, the resort has teamed with marocMaroc. It also offers the upscale skincare line 111Skin of Harley Street, London, which is a favorite of stars like Jennifer Aniston and Victoria Beckham.
Along with the recently refurbished modern Japanese eatery Origami and the beachside Dhoni Bar, a brand-new restaurant called Cumin serving cuisine from the Indian Ocean has opened. Cumin is a laid-back eatery with sand beneath the feet that will serve curries from the Maldives, spicy seafood from Sri Lanka, and Indian vegetarian dishes.
The new on-site hydroponic farm, the first vertical farm in the Maldives with organic, year-round harvests, will provide all of the island’s eateries with fresh vegetables. Various varieties of lettuce, tomatoes, microgreens, herbs, and capsicum are included in the category of produce.
