Hangnaameedhoo, a beautiful isle situated in the Alif Dhaal Atoll of Maldives!
A beautiful isle situated in the Alif Dhaal Atoll, Maldives, Hangnaameedhoo can be reached by both speedboat and ferry, where it takes 1 hour 20 minutes by speedboat and a duration of total 5 hours by ferry route.
During my visit to the island, there were a few guest houses designed simple and elegantly amidst the heart of the island. The island even had a souvenir shop with wooden work displayed, whereas most guest houses had lush greenery within the property making it such a sight to the eye. In Hangnaameedhoo lies the grave of a brave soldier who fought for the Maldives then sultan Ibrahim Kalaafaanu, the soldier’s name is ‘Jamaalu Kalo’. He is amongst those brave soldiers who gave up their life for the country in the early days during the war in the Maldives.
You will find many historical sights in the Maldives local islands, and there will be many interesting artifacts.
