Russian flagship carrier Aeroflot will be continuing direct flights from Moscow to Maldives, enabling Russian tourists to finally visit Maldives after the long suspension of flights to Maldives. Russia is the second biggest market with tourists arriving to the Maldives apart from India.
Maldives Civil Aviation Authority has informed that aircraft support services will be provided accordingly as per the previous agreement they had, despite the suspension. Passengers who have booked a ticket before the suspension took place will be given the opportunity to visit Maldives by taking a connecting flight from Colombo, Sri Lanka.
