Bison Maldives and Dutch Docklands Maldives has signed a contract to construct the Floating City!

On 11th February Bison Maldives and Dutch Docklands Maldives signed a contract regarding the construction of the first homes to be built in Maldives Floating City. The agreement is to develop 5,000 homes that will be constructed in an extensive lagoon which will be a 5-minute speedboat ride from Male’, this project is called the 5 Lagoons Project.

After Ramadan the first few residences will be completed, and the visitors will be able to take a tour of the first houses. In order to deliver a safe and comfortable place, the 5,000 floating houses will be connected to each other and tied down to the lagoon floor securely. The dwellings are being built locally following the standards that are provided by the Dutch engineers.
