The government of Maldives has proceeded with granting Visa Free Entry for the Indian Nationals who are traveling to the country for business purposes. This have been on effect since February 1 onwards this year, 2022.

As per the statement of the Maldives Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Indians will be eligible for free visa entry to Maldives only if they are visiting for business purposes and their business visa that is approved will be able to get a renewal up to 180 days within a calendar year. This is mentioned on the agreement which was signed between the Maldivian Government and the Indian Government regarding Facilitation of Visa Arrangements.

This must make things more flexible for the Indian business industry workers who has to travel to the Maldives for MICE.
